In The Night Garden | Let’s Go To The Showdome! Your Day In Pictures

Let’s Go To The Showdome! Your Day In Pictures

For most parents coming to the Showdome this summer, In the Night Garden Live will be your child’s first experience of theatre. Coming to see the show is a very special treat for the family, but it can also feel daunting to plan a big day out with your children. Especially if you (and your little ones) aren’t sure what to expect.

So we’ve created a brand new Let’s Go To The Showdome guide to show you and your little ones exactly what to expect when you visit the In the Night Garden Live Showdome together this summer. It has lots of images, and is written in a story style, so that it can be read to your child like a normal storybook.

Every year, we speak to parents that really benefit from this additional support and extra help with planning ahead for their day out. In particular, parents with children who have autism spectrum disorders often find it really reassuring to know in more detail what their child will see, hear and do on the day.

The Let’s Go To The Showdome visual guide follows the National Autistic Society’s advice for theatres and has been developed with help and feedback from families with special access needs.

Simply click the button below, print off the guide or open it on your computer, mobile or tablet to read it with your child before your visit.

DownloadLetsGoButtonHere are some of the comments we've received from families with autistic children:

The willingness you are showing to make the children's and parents have a more enjoyable and stress free time at your wonderful event is heart warming and I wish more companies would make the effort.

I must say your staff were excellent last year and really looked after us. Little things like having his photo taken first so we did not have to queue stopped a major meltdown and really made his day. They had really thought about our needs and I did tell a lot of people when we got back including the National Autistic Society, of how wonderful you were. It is a rarity to find a place that is geared up for us and by making a few simple adjustments can make a world of difference.

We’d love to hear your thoughts and comments too, so please tell us what you think in the comments below. Most importantly we hope this guide will help when planning your day out at In the Night Garden Live.

Don't forget, our customer support team are here to help you as much as they can before your visit. We welcome your questions and comments on our Facebook page and to our Helpdesk.

You can also watch our video Inside The Amazing Showdome to see a walking tour of all the Showdome facilities with In the Night Garden Live producer Andrew Collier.

Pip-pip, onk-onk!
